Independent hardware stores, garden centers, jewelers, sporting goods and outdoor shops, optical retailers, furniture and flooring stores. Nearly every brand on your shelves has a co-op program, and most of that money goes unclaimed because claiming it is a part-time job.
The independent retailer's co-op problem is scale. A hardware store might carry Scotts, Fiskars, Shop-Vac, Channellock, Bosch, and Werner, each with its own program, its own claim form, its own deadline, and its own rules about whether they can appear in the same ad. In our data, jewelry brands pay the highest accrual rates of any category and nearly all of them still require prior approval and proof of run for every medium. The money is real. The process is why it goes unclaimed.
| The old way still the industry standard | Co-Op Managers |
|---|---|
| A different claim form and deadline for every brand. | One login. Every brand we manage for you shows its balance in the same place. |
| Shared ads have to be prorated across brands, and each brand has to approve its portion. | Multi-brand templates with locked zones. Each brand's share is fixed by the template. Approved once. |
| Direct mail by zip code, postage often not reimbursed, receipts required. | Direct mail by radius or trade area, ordered in the portal, with postage handled according to each brand's rule automatically. |
| Seasonal campaigns planned in January for money that expires in December. | Expiring funds flagged early, with campaigns ready to run against them. |
We work for brands, so we can only process claims for the ones we manage. But independent retailers are the most persuasive voice a brand hears. Tell us which brands you carry and which programs you find hardest to use, and we will take that to them. In the meantime we can tell you what each brand's published program actually offers.
We will tell you whether we manage any of their programs, and what you can do with the ones we do not.
